Music Monday-Fall, Fell, Fallen, Have Fallen

What happens when Baker and Seth lock themselves in a kitchen with nothing but a set of lyrics and a musical outline?  Listen here.  The first collaborative project from the guys (more to come).

I think that the song is pretty stinking straight-forward.  That aside, Matt, why don't you take a stab at explaining this one on the comments.

well, i don't have the words in front of me right now, but here it goes.

i don't have anything really riveting to say about this song. It was written almost entirely by Seth, and the majority of the music, particularly the main guitar riffs are done by me along with the vocals. The fun and in depth background guitar is Seth's genius.

This song written as if it is God speaking to us. He is telling us in coded verse-drawn language that he is going to mess with our world. He is going to "waste our souls down the barrel of his gun" and then as we are left stunned and disoriented, he will let us fall into Him.

As many lines in this blog have noted, we feel that there is truth in the concept of life experiences shaking us into realizing our never-ending need for our Father.
Actually we never are independent, but these life-threatening happenings only focus us long enough to see through the crap of a lie that we have control long enough for us to make a commitment, though short it may be, to drop our bags and let Him rummage through and discard the contraband.

Seth, you will have to fill in my gaps, because this one was always more of your baby; i just provided a tune.

It's about flippin' time, Seth! The man disappears off the face of the planet for the sake of learning law. I've searched for years, and haven't found another guitarist with the rhythmic percussive sound built in. I've been waiting for that signature "Seth Sound" to come back in the new songs... and here it is. Makes me wonder why you ever needed any drums behind you... I guess you just needed my devastatingly good looks.

I love the sound! Keep up the great work!

dudes - as i've said before, i have to search out computers that will support songs. our computer's most advance program is the game pong. and we don't even have the paddles to play it.

this is great. musically. lyrically. goodness. you boys need to play a show or something. no coffeehouses - go straight to a big stage. i particularly like hearing baker reprimanded by seth at the end. beautiful.

i love hearing God speak invitations. "fall into Me" sounds like the Father that the Son came to reveal. songs like this make me want less of me and more of this good, good God. keep it up, boys. i do believe you have only just begun.

I loved the song, but I have to say that the anticipation of Seth reprimanding the Baker at the end was kind over overshadowing my listening abilities. Good Job guys!
